Carla DiFranco
CPA, CMA
Some of us are born entrepreneurs and I am one of them.
I entered the dynamic world of entrepreneurship after a career in the dry and conventional world of auditing for the Federal Government. I started Jordi Consulting in 1995 and have never looked back.
Business owners have the great visions, ideas, products and sweat, build and market themselves so well. When it comes to the finances, the actual numbers they can struggle. It makes perfect sense as it’s a very different skill-set. Starting and running a successful business means you wear a lot of hats every day. The financial hat, to many is the most challenging and this is where I come in.
As a small business owner myself I feel it helps me to better understand my clients and their challenges. I take pride in getting to know them and their businesses as it enables me to work that much more effectively for them.
Seeing my clients grow and achieve their vision and goals is what motivates me every day.
Amy Dale
CGA Legacy Completer
With a desire to work with numbers and a deep enjoyment for helping others understand them, Amy decided to pursue a career in accounting.
In 2002 she completed her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University and soon after began working at Jordi Consulting. Amy is currently in the final stages of completing the Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified General Accountant program. Her concentration during this program has been on advanced taxation and corporate finance as this knowledge will help her better serve her clients at Jordi Accounting and Tax. Amy’s skills in accounting and her understanding of Canadian tax comforts clients as she expertly guides them through all their bookkeeping, accounting and government reporting needs with professionalism and care.
Daniel M. Baker
CFP, CLU, CEA
Dan has been in the financial services industry for thirteen years as a financial planner, having spent time with both London Life and Scotiabank since graduating from the University of Windsor in 2002 with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree.
In 2008, he obtained his Certified Financial Planners designation and he has vast experience creating financial plans for his clients. Dan believes in providing fee based financial plans to clients whereby the client pays for the advice and isn’t simply being sold a product. In 2013 he obtained his Chartered Life Underwriter designation which allows him to expertly help clients with estate planning needs, business succession and showing business owners how to use life insurance as an asset to their business. In 2014, he added the Certified Executor Advisor designation to his credentials, allowing him to help clients navigate through the complex world of being an executor. Dan is the president of DMB Financial Consulting, a company that offers fee based financial plans for his clients and he has seven years’ experience preparing tax returns and bookkeeping. He is also a senior partner with The Kreo Group, offering mortgages and real estate based investments to clients and has been affiliated with Jordi Consulting since September 2010.
He thoroughly enjoys his work and loves dealing with clients on a day to day basis helping them achieve their financial goals.
Brigitte Baker
Office Administrator
Brigitte joined Jordi Accounting and Tax in 2014 to provide administrative support to our growing team of accounting professionals. Having held positions in the medical and business fields and currently the Vice President of DMB Financial Consulting, she has acquired excellent organizational and communication skills in dealing with clients. Brigitte is able to tailor her skills to meet the needs of her co-workers. She finds the Accounting field quite interesting and always looks forward to helping her team meet our client’s needs. She handles receptionist duties in the office and various other administrative tasks. She is the friendly voice that will most likely greet you when you call Jordi Accounting and Tax.
